dry mixed recycling service

No space to store individual containers for your recyclable materials? Our dry mixed recycling (co-mingled) system might be just what you’re looking for.

Dry mixed recycling (commonly known as Co-mingled Recycling) is an innovative solution that gives schools, colleges and the business community the ability to recycle most of their general waste without the requirement for a separate container for each waste stream. Paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, drinks cans and food tins can all be mixed together in one single container as the time-consuming sorting process is conducted off site at an automated Materials Recovery Facility.

This method of recycling delivers impressive results and reduces your waste management costs the more recyclables removed from general waste for landfill. As landfill tax rises you will continue to save more money year-on-year.

dry mixed recycling collection service

Our dry mixed recycling solution is a contracted, scheduled service where we can collect your recyclables on a daily, weekly or fortnightly basis. Should the quantity of your recyclables increase, you can either request additional containers or increase the collection frequency. All documentation, waste transfer notes and duty of care are included within your service level agreement; complying with the Waste Regulations 2011 (England and Wales). For companies seeking statistics for their recycling, we recommend taking advantage of our environmental reports and pay-by-weight options.

dry mixed recycling containers

Select can supply all the containers you require for the sorting of your recyclables. External containers are included within your service level agreement, however internal containers and recycling stations can be supplied at an additional fee. For external use, we provide 240, 360, 660 and 1100 litre wheeled containers. Most commonly, the 1100 litre container is selected and paired up with an 1100 litre general waste container. For high-volume producers of waste and recyclables we can supply an REL (Rear End Loader) container. All of our containers are clearly labeled with the full list of recycling materials that our co-mingled recycling service can take. We can also create bespoke recycling stations, posters and container labels to help promote mixed recycling awareness.

prepaid sacks

For businesses that are unable to site a container but who want to recycle, we offer prepaid recycling sacks as a practical alternative. Using these sacks you can recycle all three waste types: paper and cardboard, plastic (types 1, 2 & 3) and cans and tins. You can also use this sack to recycle one of the waste streams e.g. just paper and cardboard. Our sacks are industrial strength and sold in boxes of 100.
