There are many different types of disposal methods for the treatment of hazardous waste.

At Select Environmental Services, our first priority is to use a waste recovery treatment method as this is more environmentally friendly than disposal via incineration (Energy from Waste) or hazardous landfill.

For certain hazardous waste streams the only treatment method is high temperature incineration. At Select, we only use facilities that feature heat exchange systems to ensure that no energy is wasted. All of the treatment and disposal facilities that we use are fully licensed and we regularly under take duty of care visits to ensure that their operating standards meet our expectations.

In addition to operational licences, all our personnel working with hazardous waste are fully qualified in removal, packaging, hazard prevention and cleanup of hazardous materials. We have a range of bespoke UN-type approved containers to safely store the waste, this removes the risk of spills and contamination.
