The recycling process utilises Anaerobic Digestion (AD) technology which is the truest example of renewable energy. Unlike conventional composting, AD can accept a wider range of materials including
animal-by-products (ABP). More importantly AD processes harmful gases such as methane (which is 22 times more damaging to the environment than CO2) into a biogas which is used to generate electricity. The only other by-product is a high quality liquid fertiliser, rich in nutrients.

For containing your food waste we provide 240 and 360 litre, colour-coded wheeled containers that are emptied into our dedicated food waste collection vehicles, at a frequency to be agreed. To assist in kitchen and canteen areas we can provide caddies, sack-holders and corn starch liners.
